We have been discussing young guys who get it in the belly. Sal Mineo is well known for getting it in the guts. In Escape from Zahrain he was machine gunned in his belly. He was a 18 year old rebel. Just after this scene he died in the arms of the rebel leader from the bullets in his guts.

Thanks for posting this. It is hard to find. Sal died so well in this. His guts were shot up pretty bad. Yeah he was frightened, he was dying in a lot of pain which showed in his facial grimaces. He was young with a hard smooth bod. Doubtful the pilot of the plane targeted his belly, but the belly definitely got it. There was nothing the nurse could really do. A bandage over belly wounds doesn't help much. I think too the 18 year old rebel died a virgin boy.
You really see him grab at his guts when he first gets shot down, but the hottest is when his shirt is being removed and we get a brief moment of him clutching at his belly wounds as his back arches and his torso strains.
There's also something special about the scenes of him being picked up and carried to the village by that manliest of manly men, Yul Brynner.

This is one of Sal's best deaths ever. His acting told us he had multiple bullets in his guts. He had at least two, maybe more. When the nurse removed his shirt we got to see his beautiful bod and the blood on his belly. His final breath, a sigh, came at 1:25:40, but I am wondering whether or not his final pleasure came at 1:25:33. That "ahh" hopefully meant something good for him.
Yul says, when a boy of 18 dies in your arms it isn't glorious.
