As a dog tag fetishist (among other things), I appreciate how in the second series the soldier's tags bounce away from his chest from the impact of the rounds. There's a reason why military men carry their corpse IDs around their necks all the time. RE: Firing squad #4 - ukonz99 - 10-19-2019 Agree with TakeNoPrizners regarding your guys dying like real men , they accept it and then their bodies respond to the trauma in various ways. Always love the blood spray patters in the Firing Squad images plus expression. Thanks RE: Firing squad #4 - jadsitt - 01-08-2021 i always like the ones where he has no blindfold. that way he can tense up when he sees them about to fire. probably be a little easier on him if he can take a deep breath and hold still. that way his heart will be a little closer to the surface and by holding very still, each bullet should go into his heart supposedly making his death quicker. also he may be able to look down an see the holes in his chest and see blood running out. Breathe in, jut the chest out, wait for the impact. As he goes limp and looks down, the gunshot wounds in his ravaged torso are the last thing he sees before oblivion. If he's not quite dead, a head shot from the pistol of the squad commander will ensure completion of the execution. Another aspect to the lack of a blindfold is the possibility for a particularly defiant and stoic target to look the gunmen in the eye. A resolute glare not only demonstrates to the squad that the prisoner is not afraid to die, it can even approach a mocking impudence, as if to say, "Bring it on, fuckers." I first came across a similar attitude in the firing squad executions toward the end of the movie Valkyrie. I like how Tom Cruise's character goes out. He tells his condemned comrades that when they're put in front of the squad, they should look the shooters directly in the eye. "That way, they will remember you." RE: Firing squad #4 - GutKnife - 02-26-2021 How ‘bout the target being the abdominals. See how many bullets or arrows a proud young buck can take before going dow. See a REAL muscle boy die well. No blindfold. He is stoic, daring, proud, has attitude & a bit cocky...Gut up RE: Firing squad #4 - GutKnife - 02-26-2021 Like him |
