The victor, Atticus, carried the diying Lucas to the emperor's box as the defeated gladiator shot his final wad. It was a humiliation for both the emperor and Lucas, his champion. Atticus would claim Lucas' cock and balls as trophies. They would be auctioned off at a hefty price and bring fertility and good luck to the household of the buyer.
