Aztec gladiator - Beedrill - 09-13-2025 Aztecs had human sacrifices in the form of gladiatorial combat. Prisoners of war were tied to a stone platform and given symbolic weapons to fight againts fully equiped aztec knights. The prisoners had no hope to came out alive of the platform, however, there is the leyend of Tlahicole, a tlaxcaltecan warrior of amazing strenght who killed at least 8 aztec knights and wounded a lot more.  The aztec tlahtoani (emperor) himself went to offer him a rank among his army, but Tlahuicole rejected the offer saying that he would rather die fighting than live as a traitor.
