question for possible story

Suppose a guy had a son when he was twenty.  Now eighteen years later they are at a pool party celebrating the son's birthday.  Which do you think would hurt worse for the son to watch his father take an arrow in the belly, or the father to watch his son take one in the gut?

I would like to see a scenario where either the father or the son accidentally shoots an arrow into the other while trying to take out a third party. The rest of the story would involve avenging that death with the quest to find and dispatch that third party. There would be lots of fighting, arrows, swords, spears and naked men along the way.
