I like the idea of an attack that starts with a rain of arrows. The volleys take out as many of the forward guard as possible before the infantry advances for close quarter combat. The guy on the left with the beautiful set of soon-to-be-dead balls may be lifting his head to see the enemy overrunning their position. Even dead and dying, the studs are a testament to the prime physical condition of their army - the arrows did their job, but they could only sink so far into that hard muscle.
