I believe it was belly, blade and shield. The men were on their way to die in the arena but instead decided to fight and played this game to see who would go first. It'd be cool to see something similar. The attitude they had, as if taking steel in the belly was no big deal, but they use a kids game to start it off.
Also always thought it would be cool if a mentor or instructor tells one of his pupils to run him through so they can see what it's like first hand. He shows them where to stab and how best to take it. Something like that. Can't wait to read this new one!
Thanks man, those sound like great scenarios and I'll see what I can do with a future story. I really liked the rock-paper-scissors thing too; that flippant attitude about their own lives was really hot. Maybe it'll make a reappearance!

Always doing well when I see a new story from you.
Enjoyed the thematic of men are men, no matter from where they hail. Every man's belly is just a sack of guts waiting to be spilled, even when they least expect it.
As always, thanks for sharing!

My next story, The Leopard and the Wolf. We're taking a break from gladiators this time; let's see how desert tribesmen do it. Hope you enjoy reading this one as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Change of pace from gladiators to tribesmen, but just as good of a story! Nice read, especially #2 in the story. Thanks for taking the time to share as always.

And here's the sequel already, Harkut the Novice. There will be a whole series of these, so look forward to more.
