Is there an age limit on the participants in these fantasy stories?  Like for instance would someone be offended by a scenario where a ship is being boarded and the shirtless twelve year old cabin boy throws himself in front of the captain and takes the sword in the belly himself?

There is an age limit here but not sure what it is: 18 or 21? Age limits or age of consent is different in different parts of the world, even in some countries. Canada in some places is 14! NY is 17. US in most places is 18. Not sure about the rest of the world so check with the site owner who I believe iS ARENAFIGHTER

My advice would be to leave out stating the age.  Just call him the "young cabin boy".  That way, the reader's interpretation is solely responsible for who they depict it.
