FRIENDLY reminder
#1
Okay, we are having some in-fighting again.  Remember, we all love fighting with swords, spears, guns, arrows, fists, teeth, spikes and the occasional monster.  We celebrate the toxic masculinity of war, death and strife.  What we hate is verbal drama, that's for the ladies.

While there is an occasional inappropriate post that needs to be reported (namely child-porn-type posts, or actual threats to harm others), there is no need to troll or degrade the work of others.

I am offering a couple versions of what I would like to say concerning the matter.

Non-offensive version

Just a friendly reminder to please keep comments civil.  This forum tries to cater to a variety of tastes.  If you see a story, video or artwork that doesn't suit your fancy, move on to the next one.  No need to trash on the people who posted in the comments.  Simple fact, you won't like every post.  Move on  to the next one or post something better.

Old-Man version

Listen here, you candy-assed punks.  If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the f**k up.  These sum-bitches are sharing their hard work here.  IF you don't like it, Piss off. You wouldn't survive a minute back in the day when we stormed the beaches of Normandy.

Duche-bag version

F**k off, you f**king f**kers.  If you don't like what someone posts, then post your own shit.  I will rip your ass to shreds.

Manly Gladiator Arena Version
All Hail a Glorious Victory in your search.  But if your find yourself in a loss, Do not whine and cry like a pussy-assed bitch.  Merely pass on in glory to another battle.

Those are different ways of saying the same thing.  I now challenge you, to post your own version in the comments below.  Thank you for your participation.
And As Always,
Happy Battlings and a Glorious Death to You All!!!!

Yes please! Ugh, just bear in mind, all our turn-ons are divergent. It is absurd for us to shame one another for them, or even to be negative because someone offers something that turns them on that isn't exactly what you want. Yes, we're aware each of us wants something slightly (or sometimes very) different. So post your favs! Those who get on board say yeah, thanks for posting, here's more! Those who aren't into it, keep looking til you find something you are, or post your own.

A post to my liking, many thanks for that BD!
It expresses a lot of what I think too.
The number of critics is growing and the criticism is becoming increasingly unconstructive and unqualified.
Well I think 95% of the members here are pure consumers (picture collectors, scroungers). Some of them try to get more for their concerns through comments without having to contribute anything constructive themselves. But that's nothing new. It's called "society". Most of this forum, however, just sucks quietly.
I hope that the active ones still stay active or maybe they'll come back again? I love the stories, the pictures and take a lot of them with me.
I just want to tell you that criticism is a gift!
However, you can also throw it in the garbage unopened. You know who it's from.

Well said ... surely one of those different ways will resonate with the various men here.    Thank you!

If this thread has got anything to do with my rebuke of a well known contributor here then this is totally off target… At NO time did I pass any comment regarding the topic of his thread. The individual concerned set about deleting his own post leaving my earlier comments out of context; he also deleted an earlier example of my true concern which was about his abuse and inappropriate response over an innocuous reply by another member of this forum because it didn’t meet the expectations of the contributor which prompted the innocent guy to delete his comment. My only stated concern was over what effectively was bullying and not for the first time by this individual. To quote from this B&D notice the contributor ‘trolled and degraded’ a non critical response to his post. With an attitude like that no wonder non contributors are apprehensive about making comments.

Therefore my question to B&D: Is bullying acceptable behaviour by anyone, let alone a moderator on this forum?

I believe the individual concerned, having first removed the relevant parts of his post, then set about portraying himself as the victim which led to B&D posting this notice.

While responding to this I acknowledge your overall concern and do think it appropriate to remind members to respect contributors’ work. I have had issue with two members who would more accurately fit the reason for this notice.

Respect…

Luckily, I have access to deleted threads, so I am able to see all of the deleted comments.  The event you are referring to was relatively tame compared to some.

I actually posted this notice due to one (now former) member who I was forced to ban due to him regularly and consistently posting negative comments.  (I actually had to warn him 7 times before the ban.)

Banning people is not something I like doing.  (Well, maybe with the exception of the Russian bots.)  Luckily, I don't have to do it very often

We are here to encourage people to explore their talents.  Even I will admit that some of my own artwork or stories aren't the best and some don't even suit my own fancy.  I even have some of my stories from the older forum that I am trying to rewrite because I personally didn't think they were good enough.

I remember being one of those on the sidelines in the old forum, just sitting on the sidelines watching.  It wasn't until I did a chat/roleplay with another member who really liked how it played out.  He encouraged me to share it.  There are many people here who just look and watch and are too shy, timid or unsure to share their talents because they are afraid of how others will respond.  We need to help them overcome that fear and begin sharing what they can do.
And As Always,
Happy Battlings and a Glorious Death to You All!!!!
